EPP “Installation and Maintenance of Refrigeration and Compressor Machines and Units”

Aim: to shape and develop general and professional competencies in the field of power engineering that are necessary for the successful performance of professional duties, and to prepare for further study in the chosen specialty.

Main focus: solving typical technical and technological tasks related to the operation of machines, equipment and technological processes in power engineering: identifying and solving problems of refrigeration and process equipment, standard methods of calculating and selecting refrigeration and compressor machines and units using information technologies, participation in the installation, adjustment, testing and commissioning of new machines and units, and effective methods of equipment operation that take into account requirements of quality, environmental friendliness, reliability and occupational safety. Practical training takes place in the college’s production workshops and laboratories and at leading enterprises in the industry.

Compulsory components: electrical engineering and fundamentals of electronics, information technology and programming, technical thermodynamics, fundamentals of hydraulics and heat transfer, theoretical foundations of refrigeration engineering, refrigeration and compressor machines and units (with a course project), refrigeration technologies, refrigeration and process equipment, installation, operation and repair of refrigeration equipment, automation of refrigeration units, air conditioning, electrical equipment of power installations, energy economics, occupational safety, placements.

EPP “Installation and Maintenance of Air Conditioning and Ventilation Systems”

Main focus: identifying and solving problems of climate, refrigeration and process equipment and systems; effective methods of operating refrigeration and climate equipment; participation in the installation, adjustment, testing and commissioning of new air conditioning and ventilation systems and refrigeration units of various types.

Compulsory components: electrical engineering and fundamentals of electronics, information technology and programming, technical thermodynamics, fundamentals of hydraulics and heat transfer, theoretical foundations of refrigeration and climate engineering, refrigeration and compressor machines and units (with a course project), air treatment technologies, equipment of ventilation and air conditioning systems, installation, operation and repair of refrigeration equipment and air conditioning systems, automation of ventilation and air conditioning units, electrical equipment of power installations, energy economics, occupational safety, placements.

Employability

Professional activity in the field of power engineering is connected with the design, installation, adjustment, maintenance and repair of refrigeration and climate equipment and refrigeration units of various types and purposes. Graduates may work in occupations according to the classifier DK 003:2010: power engineer (3113); mechanic, section mechanic, workshop mechanic, production mechanic, setup mechanic, equipment repair mechanic, diesel and refrigeration unit mechanic, refrigerated unit mechanic (3115); power engineering technician, heat engineering technician, adjustment and testing technician, equipment operation and repair technician, technician-technologist, design technician, draughtsman-designer, vocational training instructor (3119).
