College lecturers take part in an international online conference

Lecturers of the Subject Committee for Specialised Light Industry Courses took part in the 6th International Scientific and Practical Online Conference “GIFTED CHILDREN – A TREASURE OF THE NATION!”, which took place on 22–28 October 2025 on the Zoom platform.

The aim of the conference was to establish the scientific foundations and practical ways of solving the problems of identifying, diagnosing, developing, supporting and accompanying a gifted individual in the educational environment and in society, as well as to exchange experience in practical work with gifted children and young people.

During the conference, its participants – leading international researchers of the phenomenon of giftedness, scholars of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and of branch scientific academies; lecturers of higher education institutions; representatives of education departments and administrations and of institutes of postgraduate education; representatives of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and its regional branches – presented reports and held scientific and practical events, including master classes and practical sessions on the topics announced by the organisers.

Lecturers of OTPC ONTU Kuznetsova P. V., Lapchak S. M. and Kuzina N. V. prepared a report entitled “Effective Strategies for Diagnosing and Supporting the Giftedness of Young People in Institutions of Professional Pre-Higher Education”. In their report, the lecturers shared the practical experience and developments of their Subject Committee for Specialised Light Industry Courses, demonstrating the specific methods and approaches they use to identify and develop the potential of students in the field of professional pre-higher education.

Participation in this international conference and the exchange of experience with the international and all-Ukrainian scientific community make it possible to integrate advanced practices into the work of the Subject Committee, which will directly contribute to more effective identification and development of gifted young people – future specialists in light industry.
