On the occasion of Ukrainian Writing and Language Day, students of group 1KH-14 joined the writing of the All-Ukrainian Radio Dictation of National Unity – an annual tradition that unites Ukrainians around their native word.
This event was an excellent opportunity to once again recognise the significance of the Ukrainian language as an important component of national identity, spiritual heritage and the cultural legacy of our people. At a time when Ukraine is fighting for its freedom and independence, the native word acquires special significance, as it is a symbol of resilience, unity and love for the homeland.
The author of this year's dictation text was writer and war veteran Artur Dron. The dictation text was read by teacher and Ukrainian language populariser Artur Proidakov and singer and volunteer Dasha Astafieva.
Students listened attentively to the text, carefully wrote down every word, and checked their own knowledge and spelling skills. Taking part in the radio dictation made it possible not only to test literacy, but also to feel part of the large Ukrainian community united by language, culture and shared values.
The All-Ukrainian Radio Dictation of National Unity is more than a test of literacy. It is an expression of respect for the Ukrainian language, support for national traditions and a reminder that each of us is part of the unconquered Ukrainian people.
By joining such initiatives, students of group 1KH-14 demonstrate their love for their native language, their desire to improve their language culture and their respect for the Ukrainian word.
Let us take pride in our language, cherish it and unite around the Ukrainian word!
