On 16 October, instructors of the Cycle Commission of Refrigeration Specialised Disciplines took part in a round table of professionals in the field of refrigeration and climate technology. Among the key issues were the creation of an effective system for certifying technical personnel and companies in Ukraine, as well as defining approaches to training and assessing competencies for working with controlled substances. The adoption of Regulations (EU) 2024/573 on fluorinated greenhouse gases and 2024/590 on substances that deplete the ozone layer, together with the related EU legal acts, sets Ukraine important tasks for aligning national legislation with European requirements.
The event was held on the initiative of the Ministry of Economy and Environment of Ukraine and the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Action, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety within the framework of the International Climate Initiative (IKI), and is implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ GmbH). It served as a platform for exchanging views, identifying current challenges and developing proposals for improving the national certification system in the field of refrigeration and climate technology.
