In accordance with the Laws of Ukraine “On Education” and “On Professional Pre-Higher Education”, upbringing is an integral part of the educational process and a cross-cutting process that covers all areas of student life and must be based on values.

The unity of teaching, upbringing and development of students is ensured by the joint efforts of all participants in the educational process.

The success of the educational process depends on the relationship between the teacher and the student, which must be built on the basis of partnership, cooperation and business collaboration.

Organising the educational process under martial law has created a need for different content and approaches to educational work, as stated in the methodological recommendations on the organisation of educational work in educational institutions in the 2023-2024 academic years (letter of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 1/12702-23 of 24.08.2023).

In carrying out their tasks and implementing the basic principles of educational work, the teaching staff of the College are guided by the regulatory framework on educational work. To implement them, the institution developed an educational work plan, which forms part of the College's annual plan, as well as the educational work plans of group tutors.

The priority area of educational work in 2023-24 was the national and patriotic education of students. The relevance of patriotic and spiritual education of the young generation in today's conditions of war is clear to everyone.

Over the course of the year, a large number of events were held: educational talks, tutor hours, informational and educational lectures, and creative hours:: “Courage and Valour Through the Ages”, for the Day of Remembrance and Victory over Nazism in the Second World War, “Remember Kruty…”, “Ukraine Is a United State”, “One Country – One People”, “One and Indivisible Ukraine”.

The educational value of such activity lies in the fact that students learn to do good deeds selflessly and to realise the need to combine public and personal interests.

Last year, educational events were also aimed at fostering in students respect for the Constitution and laws of Ukraine, social activity and responsibility. In particular:

Our social pedagogue has established work in this area.

Another area of work under martial law and constant military threats was providing students with knowledge of the basics of safety and familiarising them with the rules of action in certain situations that are important for preserving health and life.

In this connection, informational and educational events were held for College students by representatives of the Scientific and Methodological Centre of Civil Protection and Life Safety of Odesa Oblast, “Organisation of Civil Protection and Life Safety, Fire Safety.
