On 27 August 2025, students of the specialty Food Technology were invited to Odesa National University of Technology to a meeting with the outstanding French pastry chef Bruno Pastorelli, who is among the 38 best pastry chefs in the country and was awarded the honorary title MOF – Best Pastry Chef of France as early as 1989!
Bruno Pastorelli is an outstanding master pastry chef and a true artist in the world of sweets. His chocolate and sugar compositions have become part of the history of modern pastry art. Together with Jean-François Langevin he founded the prestigious competition Mondial des Arts Sucrés, which was the first to introduce the format of mixed male-female teams, and today he sits on the jury of the most famous international competitions. In addition, Pastorelli is Innovation Director and brand chef of the company DGF, and the author of the book “Dessert, dessert, dessert”.
His professional career spans many fields: from working as head pastry chef at the Michelin-starred restaurant l'Assiette Champenoise to teaching at renowned culinary schools in France and Italy. He has given demonstration master classes and presentations in more than twenty countries around the world, including Australia, Canada, the USA, Japan and, of course, Ukraine.
Today Bruno Pastorelli is known not only as an authority in the field of dessert art but also as a mentor to the younger generation of chefs. His creativity and dedication inspire masters all over the world, and his name has become synonymous with high skill and innovation.
This meeting was a powerful source of inspiration and once again proved that pastry art is a path of creativity, perseverance and love for one's work!
