On 20 March 2026, the four-week placement in the specialty “Software Development”, held in a blended format at the college, was successfully completed.
The students of group 2RP-11 worked in person, remotely, and some on an individual schedule, which made it possible to take each student’s circumstances into account and ensure effective completion of the tasks. The placement comprised 32 tasks.
The topics of the placement were extremely modern and relevant:
Module 1. Applying the fundamentals of algorithmisation and procedural programming in C#
Module 2. Applying object-oriented programming in C# and the fundamentals of team development with Git and GitHub
Module 3. Creating GUIs in C# programming and the fundamentals of building cross-platform desktop applications with AvaloniaUI
The learning process was organised in two subgroups under the supervision of Artur Serhiiovych Zhadan and Valerii Vitaliiovych Komar.
Weekly checks ensured monitoring of task completion, and the final stage was the preparation of a report.
It is especially great that already in their second year the students were able to work with such modern technologies as C#, GitHub and AvaloniaUI. This is not just a placement – it is cutting-edge experience that meets the real requirements of the IT industry and develops the competitive skills of future software developers.
The representative of the committee at the defence was Anastasiia Anatoliivna Kryvchenko, Head of the regional methodological committee of professional pre-higher education institutions of Odesa Region and a lecturer of the highest qualification category, who underlined the high level of the students’ preparation and the modernity of the chosen topics.
During the defence, the students of group 2RP-11 presented their own programs, demonstrating the practical skills acquired during the placement. This was a vivid confirmation that already in their second year students are able to create real software products and move confidently towards a professional level.
