Students’ Visit to the COUTURIER Store During Their Placement

At the beginning of their training placement for acquiring skills and abilities, students of group MK-23 visited the “COUTURIER” store, which became the venue for an educational excursion for students of the educational and professional programme “Modelling and Design of Industrial Products” in specialty 182 “Light Industry Technologies”. This excursion was an important part of practical training and gave the students an opportunity to broaden their professional competences. During the visit to the fabric house, the students became familiar with a wide range of modern materials, fittings and accessories, and learned about their purpose, technological properties and possible uses in garment production. The students were able to study in detail the textures, composition, density and quality of textile materials, which is important for choosing the right fabrics when creating garment models. In addition, during the excursion the students received up-to-date information on current fashion trends, popular types of textiles, colour solutions and directions in the development of materials science in light industry. Becoming acquainted with a professional environment inspired the students with new design ideas and encouraged the use of modern approaches in developing future collections. The excursion became an important stage in developing practical skills and creative thinking and a deeper understanding of the profession, and also underlined the importance of quality materials in creating competitive clothing.
