The Subject Committee for Specialised Refrigeration Courses has fulfilled its obligations to the students and to our long-standing friends, the food holding “Myronivskyi Hliboprodukt”: on 7 and 8 October, they visited the modern and fascinating enterprises, the “Broiler Chicken Processing Complex” and the “Lehko” chicken semi-finished products plant. Neither the students nor the accompanying lecturers had enjoyed such a good time for ages, communicating and taking a captivating tour of enterprises that are not only flagships of Ukraine’s meat processing industry but also leading suppliers of chicken and poultry products for dozens of trademarks in 27 countries around the world. The scale is impressive. MHP is not just a name. It means 32,000 jobs in Ukraine and at least 4,000 abroad. It is an enterprise that is developing dynamically and gaining momentum even in our difficult times (just consider the dozens of units of the latest technological equipment that, still in its packaging, is already waiting for its place in the workshops in the coming months). The experience of cooperation is already reflected in three groups of MHP employees who, following the principle of dual education, have already completed express courses at the Separate Structural Subdivision “OTPC ONTU” in specialty 142 “Energy Engineering”. Our students and graduates already work at the Ladyzhyn branch of “Vinnytsia Poultry Farm” of MHP. And our future graduates have already been invited to placements, internships, employment, social programmes and professional competitions. The lecturers of the committee also carried out career guidance work both at the enterprise and at the local vocational school, so we look forward to widening the geography of our students. Such cooperation must certainly grow into something more, and we are on the way to it. Until we meet again, MHP.
