Polina KUZNETSOVA, a lecturer of specialised light industry courses at the Odesa Technical Professional College of ONTU, successfully completed a 2-week remote certified professional development course for teaching staff under the short-term programme “Artificial Intelligence in the Fashion Industry”. The 30-hour course (1 ECTS credit) was organised by the Department of Technology and Design of Garments of Khmelnytskyi National University under the guidance of Viktoriia MYTSIA, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor.
During the course, the lecturer mastered the use of neural networks and ChatGPT for forecasting fashion trends, generating creative ideas, text queries (prompts) and visualising clothing collections. The programme also covered the principles of sustainable development and the ethical aspects of using AI in fashion. The course was delivered via the Moodle and ZOOM platforms.
Following the successful defence of a presentation of her own generated collection of products, Kuznetsova P. V. met all the requirements of the programme and received the corresponding certificate.
The experience gained will make it possible to integrate advanced digital technologies into the educational process of the college!
