On 14 - 16 February 2024, the main specialised exhibitions of climate, ventilation and refrigeration equipment, Cool Clima and Chill Pro, were held in Kyiv at the International Exhibition Centre.
The Cool Clima and Chill Pro exhibition events are regarded as important occasions at which innovative technologies and solutions in the field of climate technology, ventilation, heat pumps and industrial refrigeration are presented.
It is an excellent opportunity for students to gain unique knowledge about current trends in climate technology, and to exchange experience with representatives of well-known companies and HVAC industry experts.
As part of the Chill Pro Kyiv - 2024 exhibition, the first professional skills competition among students in the field of low-temperature engineering, "CHILLTECH STUDENTS AWARDS", was held.
A team from the Separate Structural Subdivision “Odesa Technical Professional College of Odesa National University of Technology” also took part in the contest. Namely: Denys Oleksandrovych Andronenko – group 4MKh-56, Denys Ihorovych Dziubych – group 4MKh-56, Denys Serhiiovych Babalyk – group 4KV-07, team supervisor – work training master - Andrii Oleksandrovych Chernenko.
Stage 1 of the competition – Testing on the theory of refrigeration engineering, environmental legislation, the procedure for carrying out installation and commissioning work, and working with parametric controllers;
Stage 2 of the competition - Performing installation operations with copper piping. The task was to make an evaporator - the logo of the Chill Pro exhibition;
Stage 3 of the competition – Assembling the electrical power supply circuit of an electric motor and configuring automation devices.
All the participants showed deep knowledge and professional-level skills and abilities. This year the college team placed fifth.

We wish the competition continued development; it is undoubtedly an impetus for new technical innovations in the boundless world of refrigeration engineering, climate and ventilation equipment.
