On 8 May, for the Day of Remembrance and Victory over Nazism in World War II, students of our college took part in a military all-around competition among first-year students of professional pre-higher education institutions of Odesa Region.
The team was represented by five students:
three main participants — Shtrakhov Maksym Dmytrovych, Moiseiev Oleksii Oleksandrovych, Kovbasiuk Yaroslav,
and two reserves — real support and the team's backup.
The team was trained by Tsuman Valerii Mykolaiovych — lecturer of the course “Defence of Ukraine”, teacher of the highest category, methodologist.
The competition took place at the Separate Structural Subdivision “Professional College of Oil and Gas Technologies, Engineering and Service Infrastructure of ONTU”. The students demonstrated practical skills in air rifle shooting, grenade throwing, and assembling and disassembling small arms — key elements of modern training within the “Defence of Ukraine” course.
Representatives of the Odesa Regional Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centre (ORTRSSC) were involved in judging and organisation. They also gave the participants and lecturers an informative briefing on the opportunities offered by military education, admission to military higher education institutions and the important role of young people in strengthening the country's defence capability.
9 boys' teams and 3 girls' teams took part in the competition. Our student Shtrakhov Maksym showed an excellent result — 3rd place among 30 participants in the rifle assembly and disassembly exercise!

We are proud of our students!
