On 29 September, a lecture combining world artistic heritage and modern design was held for 3rd- and 4th-year students of specialty 182/G15 "Light Industry Technologies". Lecturer Nataliia Kuzina delivered a specialised lecture on "Analysis of the Work of Wassily Kandinsky. Colour and Composition Theory as a Basis for Modern Fashion Design".
The lecture not only revealed Kandinsky's art but also demonstrated its practical application in costume design. The students discussed how abstract forms, lines and colour combinations from his canvases can be applied to form new silhouettes, prints and the aesthetics of modern collections.
The aim of the event was to broaden the professional outlook of future specialists, stimulate their creative thinking and show that classic examples of world art can be a source of inspiration for light industry technologies.
