On 30 April, the Odesa Technical Professional College took part in the Professions Fair at the “RIVIERA” shopping and entertainment centre, organised by the Department of Education and Science of the Odesa Regional State Administration and the Fontanka Village Council together with other educational institutions of the Odesa region.
At the institution’s interactive locations, applicants were able to become familiar in detail with all the specialties in which specialists are trained at our college.
The practical master classes, where everyone could try themselves in the role of a specialist, attracted the most attention from visitors.
In particular, representatives of specialty G4 “Energy Production” clearly explained complex physical processes: using a thermal imager, they demonstrated the Peltier thermoelectric effect and taught methods of remote temperature measurement. In addition, the students showed how the professional tools of refrigeration equipment specialists work and how to handle copper pipes correctly.
The location of specialty G15 “Light Industry Technologies” turned into a creative workshop and a catwalk. The students not only taught how to make stylish leather accessories for gadgets, but also presented their own clothing collections, from denim and sportswear styles to elegant cocktail dresses. Meanwhile, future specialists of specialty G13 “Food Technology” held a master class on decorating gingerbread, using national symbols and traditional Ukrainian motifs in the decoration.
Such interactive presentations allowed the participants of the event to better understand the specifics of study and to see the real results of the work of our students.
