31.10.24. The master class “Vulnerability Analysis: How to Detect Cybersecurity Threats Using Nmap” was a great opportunity for students of the Computer Division (groups KB, KG, KS) to delve deeper into the world of cybersecurity. During the event, students gained valuable knowledge on how to audit a system, analyse open ports, identify potential threats and detect weak points in network infrastructure.
The instructors explained in detail the principles of working with Nmap and considered practical cases and real-life scenarios of using this tool. In addition, the emphasis was placed on the ethical aspects of cybersecurity, which is important for young specialists in this field.
It was especially appreciated that the master class was built in a “from theory to practice” format: first, students received basic theoretical knowledge, and then had the opportunity to apply it in practice under the guidance of experienced specialists. This approach contributed to better assimilation of the material and aroused interest in further deepening knowledge of cybersecurity.
Overall, the master class left a positive impression thanks to a well-structured programme, the professional approach of the instructors and an interactive learning format. Students gained not only knowledge but also motivation to develop in the field of cybersecurity, which is extremely relevant in today’s digital world.
