On 20 October 2025, students of specialty 182/G15 Light Industry Technologies had a unique opportunity to join in the creative process during a special master class given by the renowned artist, member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine Olha Nykytenko.
The event was devoted to the technique of painting on fabric, which is not only a fascinating form of art but also an important component in the field of fashion and textile design.
During the master class, the students mastered the basics of working with fabric paints and studied the specifics of applying and fixing them. A variety of items were used in the work, which allowed the participants to experiment with textures and shapes.
A special feature of the event was individual work on the image: each participant of the master class chose independently the picture they wanted to transfer onto the fabric. This allowed the students to reveal their creative potential to the fullest and to create unique, personalised items.
Such practical experience, gained from a professional artist from Kharkiv, is extremely valuable for future light industry specialists, broadening their competences and inspiring them to use decorative techniques in their future professional activity.
