On 1 April 2026, a round table on the topic “What Is Democracy? Democracy in Ukraine” was held in group 1RP-12. The speaker of the event was student Myroshnichenko Ye., under the supervision of group tutor Kryvchenko Yu. V.
Aim of the event
- To introduce students to the concept of democracy and its historical origins.
- To discuss the key principles of a democratic system.
- To examine the specific features of the development of democracy in Ukraine.
Course of the round table
The participants listened to the speaker's presentation, which covered various models of democracy, the role of civil society and the challenges facing Ukraine in the context of war and reforms. After the presentation, a lively discussion took place: the students expressed their own opinions and gave examples from modern life and history.
Conclusions
The event contributed to the development of critical thinking and of skills in reasoned discussion, and to an awareness of the importance of democratic values for Ukrainian society.
