On 27 November, on the Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language, students of the Separate Structural Subdivision “Odesa Technical Professional College of ONTU” took part in writing the All-Ukrainian Radio Dictation of National Unity. This year the event took place within the walls of the Odesa National Scientific Library – one of the oldest cultural and educational centres in the city.
Taking part in the dictation was for the students not only a test of their knowledge, but also a symbol of unity around the native language, of support for national identity and of respect for the Ukrainian word. The atmosphere of the library inspired concentration and responsibility, while the event itself inspired pride in belonging to a great language community. After the dictation, the students had the opportunity to go on a fascinating tour of the library and learn more about its history, collections and cultural mission. They saw unique editions, became acquainted with the architectural heritage of the institution and felt the atmosphere of a true temple of knowledge.
This day became for the young people not only a language test, but also a source of inspiration, pride in the Ukrainian word and interest in the cultural heritage of our city.
Thank you to the ONSL for the hospitality and unforgettable impressions!
