On 25 January 2025, HLIB NILOV, a student of Odesa Technical Professional College, under the supervision of economics lecturer Olena Shymko, took part in the regional stage of the International Economics Olympiad 2024–2025.
This stage brought together the most talented upper-secondary school pupils and first-year students of professional pre-higher education institutions from various regions of Ukraine. Of the 19,000 who took part in the qualifying round, 550 participants advanced to the regional stage.
The Olympiad was an excellent opportunity to show one’s knowledge of economics and finance and to demonstrate analytical abilities and critical thinking skills. The tasks required not only theoretical preparation but also the ability to solve real economic situations.
