On 23 August, the Day of the State Flag of Ukraine, second-year students of KS-61 together with their group tutor Anastasiia Anatoliivna and first-year students of group RP-12 accompanied by Yurii Viktorovych made an inspiring cultural journey that combined art, a walk around the city and the deep symbolism of the holiday.
The central event was a curator-led tour of the exhibition “Bruno Piglhein. Exhibition of Pastels” at the Odesa Museum of Western and Eastern Art – presented in Ukraine for the first time. The students became acquainted with the work of the outstanding German painter, graphic artist and sculptor, one of the founders of the Munich Secession.
The exhibition includes a rare 1885 album of pastels that launched the artist's fame. Particularly impressive were:
- Portraits of actors of the “Commedia dell'Arte” theatre
- The image of Beatrice – Dante's muse
- Exquisite portraits of women and depictions of children
- A historic portfolio with gold embossing
The participants also learned about the “Fairy-Tale King” Ludwig II – a symbol of the era of Bavaria's heyday.
After the tour, the students strolled along the central streets of Odesa, enjoying the architecture, the atmosphere of the city and the shared moment. This day became not only a cultural discovery but also a living example of how art unites generations and inspires new achievements.
