~2 min read 20 pages in this section

In 2026, all applicants who are registered or declared as residents in the TOT or in areas of active hostilities have the right to apply under quota 2. This means that they take part in a separate competition for state-funded places and do not compete for them together with other applicants.

Who is admitted on the basis of NMT results?

If you left before 1 October 2025, you apply on the basis of NMT results and take part in the competition for state-funded places under quota 2.

Who can choose the NMT or an interview?

If you are still in the TOT or in an area of active hostilities, or left after 1 October 2025, you may apply on the basis of NMT results or take interviews in the NMT subjects at the higher education institution of your choice.

Important: before submitting your first application, you need to contact the Admissions Committee of any higher education institution in order to register your right to special admission conditions in the USEDE. An applicant’s electronic account can be registered on the USEDE portal. Applications for bachelor’s programmes and medical master’s programmes will be accepted from 19 July until 18:00 on 1 August.

Through the electronic account you can:

  • register for interviews and creative competitions;
  • submit applications;
  • track their status;
  • confirm your choice of place of study.

Assistance with admission is provided by education centres, which operate from 1 June to 30 September. They support applicants at all stages, and some of the procedures can be completed remotely, even before departure.

Free accommodation is provided for the duration of the admission process. Scholarships, state support and assistance with adaptation are also available.

If you are only planning to leave, the initiative of the President of Ukraine, Bring Kids Back UA, helps you leave free of charge, confidentially and with full support, even without documents.

If you are not ready to apply right away, preparatory programmes are available, including the “zero course”.
